Last of the swaps....

I made 3 different swap cards for myself and those who didn't get the chance to bring one. I have shown a couple of these before but I will show them again today.
This card is a Kerry Bunting case

This card is a CASE from Mary Fish. I just changed one of the colours.

This last card is one I used a sketch challenge for and then used the idea of the 4 stamps that I have seen in a few places on the net. Well that is all the swap cards but I do have other projects to show from camp soon.

All in the Family

Hi there,
today I have a card made by Karen for camp. She has used the set All in the Family. Like many of us, we have the set but don't get it out all that often so it was nice to use this set.

Isnt it a lovely bright card? I hope to use this set more this year.

Camp Swaps finally......

Hello again,
I have finally taken the time to photograph and edit the cards we made on camp for swaps. I will show you them all over the next few days.
First today is a wonderful covered notebook that Shelly made as her swap.
Isn't this a nice notebook, ready to take notes over the weekend.
Next today is Tracey's card. It is made with the triple treat flower. I have been meaning to use this stamp for so long so I stepped mine up a little by adding the 3 layers with the punches that much. I loved the bubble blowing technique used for the background of this card.

Well that's all for today. Come back tomorrow for the next card. have a good weekend

Hot enough for you....

....well that is if you are here in Perth or most of Western Australia. We have so many more days of this heat. Luckily I do have an air conditioner. I really don't enjoy venturing out when it is this hot so I am home lots.
I still haven't taken the photos of the swap cards from camp so today I will show another card that I have made using Fabulous Florets. This is a case as well from a friend who also cased it so not sure who was the creator.

Happy Australia Day to all my Aussie Friends. I hope whatever you have planned for tomorrow it includes water or something cool.

Camp and One Sheet Wonder.

Hello,
I have been away over the weekend on my Stamping Retreat. 8 of us enjoyed a wonderful weekend of stamping and fellowship. While there one of the projects that I prepared for them to do was a One Sheet Wonder using French Foliage and the colours Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Early Espresso and Cajun Craze with Very Vanilla as the neutral colour. I used the base page pattern from Leanne Greff and then made up my own bits from there. Below are my cards.

I will photograph the swaps later in the week to show you. Today I am having a quiet day on the couch as I seem to be having a flair up with the Rheumatoid Arthritis. Hope to be back in the craft room tomorrow.
thanks for stopping by.

More Fabulous Florets

Hello again.
As I said before I have been casing some cards using this lovely new set called Fabulous Florets. Anyway this one my friend Jennie and I made last week together and then we made it using Baja Breeze as well.
The original card is made with Pink Pirouette. I have just found out the original was made by Kerry Bunting. No wonder I loved it Kerry.

Such a lovely yet simple card. Thanks for stopping by.

Fabulous Florets

As promised I'm back with a card to show you. I made this one for Stamp Club today. I had been casing some of the lovely Fabulous Florets cards I had seen and used up the extra flowers to design a card of my own. I did one both ways. I have used Baja Breeze and black.

Just a quick post. back soon with more.

Fishing trip....

Hi there, its been awhile again but I have been keeping busy. yesterday graham and I got up early and took the boat out fishing for the day. We were on the water at 6.30am and stayed out for 7 hours. It was a lovely day. We caught some fish too which is always good as we enjoy a good feed of fish.
As usual I caught lots of Rass which are a fish we don't bring home and usually throw back. Well yesterday I suggested that Graham use one of my fish as bait and he caught a small shark. It was quite exciting. We had some for dinner tonight and it was really nice.
Anyway here are a few photos from our fishing trip. As usual I had my camera with me.
This is the smallest fish I caught. Quite pretty but not sure what it was.

Graham with the small shark he caught

 Seagull checking us out.

Rocks near where we were just off Rockingham.

Well I hope I havent bored you too much with my fishing story. I'll be back soon with some cards to show you.

Marry me.....

......No not literally.
I have just designed a card with the new stamp set Marry Me. My friend Sandra came to visit and encouraged me to make a card. Of course I needed her input as well as sometimes when designing a card from scratch it takes awhile deciding on what looks OK. Anyway I ended up making 2 cards nearly the same. One is embossed with black and the other white. I would like your opinion on what looks best. Both are done in Pink Pirouette. The white one is sponged over with Pink Pirouette ink. I have embossed vellum and cut it out for the veil. Sandra suggested the little roses and ribbon and I quite like the end result.

Anyway just a quick post today. Have a great weekend

Welcome to 2012 on my Blog

Hi there,
Happy New Year to you wherever you may be. I returned home yesterday from my lovely holiday down on the farm. I really did get to relax. Now its time to get back into life in 2012.
I joined a website today called My Fitness Pal and my plan is to lose weight this year. For those who know me, you would know that I put on a lot of weight last year due to a combination of things but medication and health factored in that. I had lost 20kg over 3 years before that so it was very disappointing to put all that back on and 8 kilos more. I am going to add a badge to my side bar showing my progress. You can follow along and encourage me on the way. This was me Jan 2010 and now
Anyway just thought Id let you know one of my goals for this year.
have a great day
