Paper Crafters Sampler Sneak Peek and Blog Hop

Recently I was asked to join the design team of Paper Crafters Sampler.  Each month design team members are asked to participate in a monthly blog hop.  The hop offers a sneak peek of what will be offered in upcoming issues.
Our April theme is "Winged Things".  Projects include butterflies, dragonflies and some projects that will really have you thinking outside of the box! You can view my sneak peek project below: Remember to use my code PCSAB when you subscribe.
You will have come here from Cherie Franklin's blog.
Design team members were also given a challenge to give our own take on the new "Lantern" template designed EXCLUSIVELY for PCS subcribers.  The template is offered only through the April issue of PCS.  Here's my take on the lantern:

this is the close up of the bottom and the roof of the lantern showing the flowers I have made.

Fox and Friends

As I was on a deadline to make samples with the new sets I cased my Fox and Friends cards. I went to SCS to find some I liked and made them from there. I changed a tiny bit on them but not much. here are my 3 cards using this lovely new set.

I will be back with more to show you in the next few days.

Medallion Stamp

It was great to have a nice group of people at my launch on Saturday. I was surprised when I put my cards out on show that I had actually made 25 samples. So its about time I showed some on here. I have the second session of my launch here tonight.
These 2 cards I made with my friends Colleen and Jennie. The Mr and Mrs one is cased from an idea somewhere out there in cyberland and the second one is one that Colleen came up with on the day. I have used Elegant Eggplant and Whisper White for both cards and embossed the added panel with the polka dot folder. I am looking forward to having a play with this set and coming up with some different cards with it.

I hope you had a good weekend and that your week goes well. I am going camping with my husband for Easter. We have found a tent to borrow and wrote up a list of things to take. It has been a very very long time since I have actually camped, so this will be an adventure for me. One thing is that it is in a caravan park and we will have a powered site so I don't have to rough it too much. As we are taking the boat we have plenty of room to pack everything, plus the kitchen sink!!!!!
I will be back over the next few days with some more cards and then with 2 blog hops for you.
take care

As you can see I have been playing with my blog layout. I really should be getting ready for the launch open house I am having here this afternoon. Anyway I thought it was about time I showed you another card, once again using the lovely new set Vintage vogue. Also I have used the new Top Note Die and Perfect Polka Dots textured impressions folder that is in the new mini. The colours are Pretty in Pink, Mellow Moss and Whisper White.

I will be back in the next couple of days to show you more of the cards I have been making. Its so much fun stamping away with all my lovely new stamps. I am just loving the clear mount stamps.

David's Birthday Card

hello again, Its my son David's 19th birthday today. I gave him one of the cards I have been making lately while teaching embossing. I thought I would show you. The second card is one that I cased from SCS but I don't have a name of the original creator. The stamp set is Inspired by Nature and the colours I have used are black, More Mustard and Really Rust. I brayered and sponged over the embossed image. There are a number of cards using this technique. Anyway I have loved using this set and still have plans to use it some more.
I hope you are having a good week.

New Stamps

Hello again. I suppose you have been thinking that I have forgotten about blogging lately. Boy the days get away from you. I hadn't realised it was 10 days since I did any blogging. I have been keeping busy playing with some new stamps I have received as a pre order for the upcoming Autumn/ Winter Mini for Stampin' Up! I am loving the set Vintage Vogue and thought I would show you a card I have made just to give you a taste of what is to come. I have this set in a Clear Mount stamp which means it is still a rubber stamp but you mount it on a clear block. I just love this kind of stamp as it means it doesn't take as much storage space..... and guess what? ... that means I can have more stamps. They are cheaper too!
I made this card for my good friend Jennie for her birthday, and as we were stamping together we cased it using Bravo Burgundy and Mellow Moss instead of the plum. Which one do you like the best? Leave me a comment and let me know. I love hearing from you.
If you want to see this stamp set and lots more new ones come along to my Mini Launch on Saturday 27th in the afternoon. Just email me for more details.

I hope you are all having a good weekend and enjoying this cooler weather if you are here in Perth. After 40+ deg yesterday this is a nice change.

Haiku Papers

I taught the card I made for the Sale-a-bration blog hop yesterday but didn't have enough build a brads or the large white brads so we just did some faux brads and did the centres with other punched papers. I think it still looks OK. Next time I must remember to order more supplies. I have made another card using these Haiku papers which I will have to keep a surprise for a while as it is using something new which will be revealed when the Autumn/ Winter Mini is launched.
