More Exmouth holiday.....

Hi again,
Today we went fishing on the beach at sunrise. What a beautiful time to be on the beach. I caught 4 fish and dad caught a shark. It took him over 15 minutes to reel it in.
 setting up for fishing

Shovel nosed shark that dad caught.
Unfortunately this Internet connection is so slow it has trouble up loading photos. I just had a phone call from my step daughter Tish and she is on her way into Exmouth so it will be great to see her and her partner Will.

Hello from Sunny Exmouth

hi there,
I know I said I wouldn't have access to the Internet while up here in Exmouth but I found out after a week of being here that they have wireless hot spot here. I am having a really wonderful relaxing time here. All I have done is socialise with my family, play cards, snorkel, go out squidding with Tom on the boat and lie on my bed and read.
Yesterday while mum and I were playing cards with her friends it rained quite heavily so I came back to find the front part of my tent floor rather wet. The front section is just fly net. I'm living in this tent but have my meals with mum and dad in the caravan.
This is my home for 2 weeks.

We went to the beach to watch the sunset on the shortest day of the year and I took heaps of photos as usual. The fishing boats look great with the sun setting behind them.

I'm having trouble uploading photos so that is all I will show you today.
I hope your weekend is going well whatever you may be doing.
until next time take care

Fast and Fabulous

Hi,
Another week has flown by. I have had a busy week. I wanted to pop in and show you some stamping before I go away to Exmouth to spend 2 weeks with my mum and dad and also my sister and brother and partners. Mum and dad have been going north for winter for nearly 20 years. This is their last year so I wanted to go up and have a look while they are there. I plan to do some snorkeling, fishing and relaxing. I cant remember the last time I got to spend a full 2 weeks with my family so this will be very special for me.
Anyway I have decided to make some covered notebooks so this is one I made today. I cased the stamped part from a friend who cased it from SCS. I have seen this arrangement a few times. I have used Elegant Eggplant for painting the flowers.

I wont have phone or Internet cover while up there so I wont be blogging for the next 2 weeks.
have a good weekend

SC336

Today I'd like to show you this weeks Sketch Challenge from Split Coast Stampers. I love this simple sketch. I taught it to my friends at the church craft group and my stamp club this week as it was so easy but looks great. I used the technique Versamark Resist on my 2 panels and my new word stamp set Word Play. The image is from Just Believe.I also used the beautiful wings embosslits. I have used Marina Mist.

It looks great in any colour. I hope to do a few more sketch challenges.
Enjoy your week.

MOJO194

hello, I hope you have had a good week. This week I actually did a couple of sketch challenges. Today I am showing you this weeks Mojo Monday sketch.

This is my creation. I have used the Elegant Soiree Designer paper with Crumb Cake and Baja Breeze. I'm a little disappointed with the greeting but I suppose that is OK. I will show you the next sketch over the weekend.

Skye

back again.... but not with a card this time. I took Skye for grooming yesterday. She was looking very shaggy as I had held off taking her as I didn't have the money. Anyway shes looking all wonderful again and I thought I would share this photo I took of her. She was having a stretch.

I took a photo of my cat Meeka as well. She is 14 now but is just as cuddly as ever. Skye is scared of her but they still fight over who is going to sit on my lap.
Anyway thats all for today.

Faux Wood Panels

hi again,
I finally found the card I made last week. I had decided to try doing some wood panelling. I used the motor bike stamp as the image. I'm not sure I like this card but thought I'd show you to see what you think.

I'll be back with more soon.

Sail Away

Hi there, I hope you have all had a great long weekend if you are here in WA. I had a very quiet one but I did get to make a card. I love this single stamp Sail Away. I saw this larger circle sponged behind the boat and liked it, so did my version of it.
Colours are Early Esspresso and Bashful Blue.
Have a good week and I hope to be back to show you more later in the week.

Sew Suite

hello again,
When I returned home from Convention I had a really lovely card waiting for me sent by my fellow demo friend Susan Joyce. Thank you Sue, I really love it and decided I would love to case it as well. So here is her beautiful card and then my version. I don't have any of the pom pom trim so I used retired ribbon in the Tangerine Tango. I had to try out the ruffled ribbon technique that Teneale showed us at Convention.

Boy have I outdone myself this week with so many posts. Its a pity I cant keep this up every week. You know its mainly my memory that stops me from posting more often. Maybe you should remind me that I have a blog to post on... have a great weekend.

Last post on holidays....

hi again, today can finish my holiday posts and get back to showing you some cards.
Our last trip out of Melbourne was down to Philip Island. We bought a 3 parks pass and went first to see Churchill Island Heritage farm. It was interesting to see inside the house still set up as it was back when it was settled. I enjoyed seeing the animals on the farm as it reminded me of my childhood growing up on a farm with lots of animals.

The next park to go to was the Koala conservation park. you could walk up a boardwalk amongst the trees where the koalas were but they were very high up and sleeping so not as good as I thought it would be. I think seeing those koalas on the side of the road was the best memory for me.

the sunset on the way to our last place for the day was beautiful. Then we were off the see the penguin parade. It was great to see the little penguins come in after sunset. we weren't allowed to take any photos so I don't have any to show you.

the day after was Friday, our last day in Melbourne. We packed up our things, said goodbye to Richard and Tracy and took the car back to the airport for our flight home. We did have some time to kill so stopped at a DFO to have a look what everyone was raving about. Well I sure am not a shopper as it didn't find anything that I would want to buy. Maybe that was because I had no money to spend.
I like to take photos out the window of the plane of the clouds. This was coming into Perth.
It was a fantastic holiday and we really enjoyed it but it sure is good to be home. thanks for checking out my holiday.

More of week 2 holidays

Not too much more to show.
Our day spent in Ballarat was all at Sovereign Hill and the Gold museum. It took nearly 1 1/2 hours just to look through the museum and the rest of the day to see the amazing re-enactments at Sovereign Hill. I love stepping back in time.

We just had to have a photo of Graham in the Buckland Gallery

It sure was a fun day and after we drove back to Melbourne to stay with our friends again. On Thursday we planned to drive down to Philip Island for our last day of sight seeing. I will tell you about that in the next post.
