Every Moment

hi there,
The stamp set we received at regional's this year was Every Moment. At first I thought I wouldn't like this set but after having a play with it I have changed my mind. This week I am preparing some cards for my team stamping day that we are having on Saturday which is World Card Making Day.
I stamped the bird in rushes on water colour paper and then coloured using both Stampin' Write Markers and ink and paintbrush. I used the scallop trim border punch to go around the oval that I had cut with the ovals die.
I am going to show you one of the cards we made at regional's with the daisy as well. I was naughty and didn't read the instructions while making the daisy card and tore the wrong piece so mine is a little different to others.

Anyway I now quite like this set as of course I can colour which as you know is one of the things I like to do.

I thought I would show it to you as she doesn't have a blog. She made it with Sense of Time and Sanded background I am so glad this stamp set carried over into the new catalogue. Anyway here is her card.

Bella Toile

I said I would show you a card we did on Sunday and then didn't get back to blogging yesterday so better late than never...
This card is a CASE from Marelle Taylor. She made her gorgeous card in black and I first made mine in Soft Suede but needed to change the colour into something brighter for my workshop so tried Pacific Point. It will work in most colours I think. I also changed the crimped strip to white and just ran it over the top of the ink pad to colour the corrugations.

The greeting set used for these cards is Perfect Punches. I will be back with some cards I have been working on later in the week. Have a wonderful day.

Enjoying Spring

Hi there,
Boy the week has sure flown by. I have had a couple of classes this week  and then in the afternoon when Graham gets home from work we have been getting out in the lovely Spring sunshine doing some potting and re potting of my court yard flowers. I am so enjoying this lovely weather. Today I don't have a card to show you but I do have some of my other favourite things like flowers and of course my dog Skye. Oh and my cat Meeka gets a look in this time. She is so lovely and fluffy.

 Court yard pots
 Meeka
Skye very much in need of a haircut
Orange blossom. The yard smells so nice.
Azalea's are blooming beautifully

I'm doing my first workshop in a very long time, today, so will come back and show you the cards we make tomorrow. I hope you enjoy your Sunday.

Today I thought I would use a couple of different dies and also 2 embossing folders.
My first project is a little bag made with the scallop circle die and then embossed with the Vintage wallpaper folder. I saw this wonderful white on black effect that my down line Nicki has used on her swaps for regionals. By brayering both sides of the inside of the embossing folder and putting the bag inside you get 2 different effects on each side of the bag. I love the look. I then used the Floral Fusion sizzlet die to cut 2 sets of the 3 flowers and then divided the cardstock to soften the look and put them together with a brad. The leaf is from the 2 step bird punch. I used poppy parade for the flower.

My next project is a card using the finial press embossing folder for the background and then this wonderful new level one hostess set Because I care. I love this flower. I painted it with Concord Crush ink and then cut it out and layered the flower and leaves for a 3D effect. I then added one of the lots of tags sizzlet die behind the large oval punch.
My last card is made using the Bella Toile background stamp which I then embossed with the Finial Press folder. I made another little flower with the Floral Fusion die this time in Pacific Point. The thank is from Perfect Punches set. I sprayed it with a mist that I made up with rubbing alcohol and shimmer paint. It looks so sparkly IRL but its hard to show it in a photo.
That is all from me today. Now its time to hop on over to Susan Joyce's blog. Enjoy your weekend

My Little Roses

hi there,
It has been a lovely spring day here in Perth today. I have spent time with my good friends making cards and tonight have been finishing off my swaps for Perth Regional meeting for Stampin' Up!.
One of my swaps is a bit over the top but I have mainly made them for my team including my sideline a few friends I have made in other teams as well. I made 20 of my roses card and 20 of my blue Elements of Style card. I have taken a few photos of the steps involved in making my little roses and also made a video for you to see. If you like my card and would like me to post one to you, I will keep one and those who leave a comment on this post will go into a draw to win this card. I am happy to post it to you. Tonight I will show you photos of the steps involved and I will add a video when I have time to tweak it a little.
Punch with 1 1/4" circle and then scallop circle
 Sponge edges with Burgundy ink
Cut between scallops on an angle
curl edges back using bamboo stick or fingers
Roll up with Quilling tool or bamboo stick.
let rose relax to desired shape. punch a 1/2 " circle for base.
glue outside tag to keep rose together
glue rose to base and let dry. When dry cut base circle close to rose.
Another version of my swap card.

Well I hope you like my little roses. I will get the video finshed and up soon. Have a great weekend.

Video for Fancy Flower Box

As promised I made a video last night to show you how I made this little box with the fancy flower punch. The original idea was from Kim Score but the way I added the top and bottom of the box is my way. The paper rose is from Tania Gould. This is the first video I have made on my own so its not the greatest but hopefully it is OK. Let me know what you think.

Roses

hi there,
As most of you know I love roses. I grow them and love them on my cards and also I used to do folk art and painted them more than any other flower. I have a card that I made awhile ago that I am going to show you today and then later in the week I will be showing you my new rose card. I have been busy the past 2 days making swaps for our Regional Meeting here in Perth for Stampin' Up!. I have made 20 of the one card that I have shown you here. I did change it a little in that I used my square punches for the squares instead of cutting the bigger squares I used on that card. The other card is a special card that I have made to swap with my team members and sideline and a few friends. Its not a card you would want to make too many of as it has quite a bit of work in it. You will understand when I show you later in the week. The card below is using the retired set A Rose is a Rose.
As I have never shown you any of my Folk Art I thought I would show you one of the paintings I did on a box for myself to keep memories in. Its of course roses.
I finally made the video for the fancy flower box tonight and will upload it tomorrow to show you. Until then goodnight.

Christmas Card Stamp a Stack

Hi there,
One of the cards I taught at my stamp a stack this month is made with a new stamp set called Delightful Decorations. There is a punch that matches it which makes it so easy to make quick cards. I used a cuttlebug folder on the front of the card and embossed with silver for the baubles and the greeting.

The other card I used a retired wheel and stamp set and made it a gate fold card. The colours are Real Red and Garden Green.
That is all for today. I'll be back with more another day.

Happy Father's Day

I hope everyone got to spend time with their dad's today. I don't see my dad very often but my parents are on their way home to Manjimup today and had breakfast with all the family on their way back from Exmouth. I made this card for my fundraiser but couldn't leave it on my blog as the back ground stamp I used was a new one that hadnt been released yet.I had received it for a gift at Convention. Its wood grain and a great one to use for this tool box. Anyway here is the card again.
Come back tomorrow to see what else I have to show you. Until then.....

Secret Sister Card and Gift for August

I am taking part in the 4th round of Secret Sister over at ESAD and was thrilled to receive a lovely set from my SS. She made this great notepad and also a pizza box with 4 matching cards inside. Also a card to match. If my SS reads my blog then Id like to say a big thank you for this great set. I love the sweet pea stamp from the now retired Echoes of Kindness set and love the colours as well.

I hope your weekend is going well.

Thank you cards from Richelle

Over the past couple of months my friend and sideline Richelle has posted me 2 cards which I have really loved getting as there isn't much personal stuff in the mail these days. I thought I would show you them and say a big thank you to Richelle for thinking of me. One was for teaching her a few things and the other a Thank you for organising camp. I'll be back over the next couple of days with some cards that I have been lucky enough to receive.

Tube Box with Fancy Flower Punch

A few weeks ago I made this little tube box using the fancy flower punch for the bottom and also the lid. I had been making lots of pink roses so decided to add them to the top. I gave these away at my camp for prizes with ribbon and brads in. I got the idea from Kim Score but didn't have her instructions when I made my box so the lid and base are my own interpretation. I found that the top didn't stay closed without the little strip of card stuck around the very top. I glued just one petal to the top of the box to use as a hinge.
I have made a video on one of my other projects and plan to make a few other videos so may do one on this as well. What do you think? Would you like to see a video on making this little box? Let me know what you think.
