Daffodils

hi there,
Another week has flown by without me checking in here. Today I have a card to show you that I made using an idea from a clever person on the net. I have just searched everywhere to find the creator but cant find it so if its you or you know who it is please let me know. I love the way she made the daffodils with the small flower in the set Growing Green. I used a different stamp for the foliage but still out of the set Just Believe. I have made a couple more cards using the daffodils and have decided to use these as my swap for Convention. I wont show you the actual card until after Convention.
After stamping, colouring and cutting out 300 daffodils I then decided I was crazy as I needed to shape 300 punched centres for them. Luckily a couple of my wonderful stamp club girls stayed after club had finished and helped me as my hand and arm didn't like putting that much pressure on them.

I hope your weekend went well and that whatever you have planned for Easter goes well for you.
Graham and I are going camping again up at Horrock's beach. We have a different tent this year and have room for my friend Julia to come up and stay with us for a couple of days. I plan to cut and stamp all my swaps and hopefully put them together while I am up there. Apart from that I have a couple of good books and my laptop to watch some DVD's on.
thanks for stopping by and take care.

Just Believe

Hi there,
March is nearly over and I realised I haven't posted for a couple of weeks. I haven't been doing much creating lately. I do feel much better as my Rheumatologist gave me an injection of steroids to see if it would help the pain and it sure has. This means that I definitely have rheumatoid arthritis along with the fibromyalgia. At least the pain has improved.
Today I have a card to show you that I made while visiting my friend Jennie one time. It is so lovely. It is a CASED card from Gretchen Barron. I really love this set Just Believe and have used it quite allot.

Anyway I hope to have more to show you in the coming week as I have made a couple of cards today for my class tomorrow and just need to take photos of them.
have a nice day.

Just Believe Invitations

hello again, I hope you are having a good weekend.
In the past week or so I have been making the invitations for my 50th birthday party coming up in February. As most of the invites have been posted out I thought I would show you what I came up with.
People tend to think of mauve when I make cards so I thought it was time for a change so I started out making them in Marina Mist until I ran out of card stock, so I went through my retired stock and decided on using Pale Plum with a current colour Rich Razzleberry. I used my favourite embossing folder Vintage Wallpaper and borrowed a Martha Stewart punch from my friend. The shape is a nestabilities label 4 set.

It was about time I posted a card wasn't it. Well let me know what you think of my design. I tried to keep it simple since I was making 50 of them.
Enjoy your Sunday.

Welcome to my stop on the Stampin' Up! Punches blog hop. You may be just starting here or you may have arrived from Angie's blog.
A week or so ago I showed you a card that my good friend Lee-Anne designed. I needed to make a card for a swap and one for today using the scallop trim punch. I used her colours and basic sketch and made a new card using the ovals die. I really like the end result. The colours are Vanilla, Crumb cake, Baja breeze and Early Espresso. I used Sanded for the background. The leaves are Pear Pizzazz.

Next I needed to make a gift for my Secret Sister on ESAD and as it is reveal time its OK for me to show you it on here. I had made a candle holder using the flower folds die and the big shot. I used some aluminium flashing to cut out each of the flowers. I made the candle myself as my friend Lee-Anne has been teaching me how to make my own soy wax candles.

Then of course you need a box for the candle so I measured up the candle and made a box to fit. I used the scallop trim border punch for around the lid edge and then used the scallop trim corner punch and the border one to make the black square on the top of the box. I sprayed the square with my homemade shimmer mist made with frost white shimmer paint and rubbing alcohol. I made the little razzleberry roses and added a few rhinestones. Of course there are more punches used on my box with the word window, modern label and 2 step bird punch. I hope my Secret Sister likes it.

Now you can hop on over to Steph's blog for some more punched inspiration. Incase you get lost on the way here is a list of all the blogs to visit.

Just Believe

Hi there, wow its been over a week since I posted anything. I did take some photos the other night ready to show you some cards and then got too tired and went to bed. I seem to be wanting to go to bed at 8.30PM these days. Anyway I will show you a card that we made at my team day. This one was made by Lee-Anne with a set that I have been really itching to use. I gave it to Lee-Anne and asked if she could make her shoebox swap with it. I really love the card. Its a crumb cake card base with choc chip and baja breeze. Such a lovely card. I now need to spend some time and make a few more cards with this set.

thanks for stopping by. I will make an effort to post every day for awhile.
