I have been playing with my new set Fifth Avenue Floral. I love Roses and also painting so this is a favourite of mine.
this first card I cased from here I decided to make it a 3D so it is 3 layers on the rose.
the second card is also cased from here
this final card I just made up myself as I went along. I have embossed the roses and then coloured them.

Pot Plant Card
I have seen all these lovely pot plant cards on the net so decided to have a go at making one. I got the main pattern size given to me by my good friend and then decided to make it smaller so I could have more flowers. I fiddled with it and after 3 hours of playing I finally had a finished card. I have used the stamp set playful petals.
Another Eastern Influences
here is the card I told you I had cased with Eastern Influences. It doesn't say who made this card but you can find it here. The background is sponged and then stamped over in Black. Normally these cards are brayered but I found it easier with a sponge this time. The highlights are added with a white gel pen. It is very simple yet effective. I taught this in my 2 stamp clubs this month.
Eastern Influences
I have been checking out the lovely samples on SCS so I cased this card from Cherylquilts
I wasn't going to buy this set but after borrowing it from a friend I have decided I like it enough to have. Sometimes it just takes using the set to make you change your mind.
I also cased another card with this set, as I was running out of time to come up with something of my own, and I think that is the wonderful thing about Stampin Up demonstrators that are happy to share their designs on their blogs or SCS. I have just realised I haven't taken a photo of the other card so will do that and show you next time.

Spring Song
Another card I have made is this one with Spring Song. I have been enjoying colouring the many different outline stamps that I have bought from the new Catalogue. I didn't have any new DP when I made this one so used the So Saffron DP that was in the promotional pack from last year. It goes well with the Bashful Blue. The greeting is from the hostess set Best Yet.
Cheers To You
I have had fun making cards with my new stamp sets. I wasn't too sure about some of the new IN colours but after using them am liking them much more. I have used Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss on this card along with Summer Sun which goes with the designer paper Good Morning Sunshine. This little set is Cheers to You.
Mother's Day Card
I needed to teach a card for Mother's day at the church group I go to, so this is what I made. It is using the new Stampin' Up! set Upsy Daisy. I have used retired colours and designer paper as I have plenty left and liked these colours. They are Soft Sky, Blue Bayou and the patterned paper was from Fall flowers DP. I also used the new wheel friendly Words. The punched edge is with the new eyelet border punch. Thank you to my friend Lee-Anne for the layout of the card minus one section. I always leave things to the last minute so was making this on Friday night ready for Saturday. I'm quite pleased how it turned out and the ladies at the church seemed to like it as well.

My Cat Meeka
Skye has had a haircut
Skye is 11 months old now and I took her for a haircut yesterday. She had a few little knots that I couldn't get out and because of that, they had to clip her front legs shorter than I wanted, so she looks really funny now with her skinny little front legs.
The second picture below is before her haircut. On our walks in the morning I throw whatever stick I can find for her to fetch and even though this was a big one she wasn't about to drop it.

Seaworthy
Hi, I promised you more cards this week so I had better post something tonight. I was going to last night but I sliced a piece off my thumb, while slicing vegies, so it was too sore. It is ok now if I don't actually use it, so have learnt to do things without my thumb today. Lucky its my left one. Anyway here is a new card for you.
I have used Seaworthy with the new in colours. Pacific Point with Baja Breeze and also Kiwi Kiss. The designer paper is from Good morning sunshine pack.
I hope to add some more in the next couple of days. I hope you are enjoying your school holidays if you have children at home. I am.

Organic Grace
I have made a card with this sketch before and thought I would try it again with a new level 1 hostess set, Organic Grace. This is SC182 from SCS. I have used bashful blue and so saffron with Night of Navy. The greeting is from the new set On Your Birthday. I have used bashful blue brads and a buckle from the silver hodgepodge with Navy grosgrain ribbon.
Animal Crackers
Hi, I have had a really fun day making some cards with my good friend. We used some sketch challenges and also did some direct casing. This one is SC 215 from SCS. We used summer sun and choc chip card stock and also good morning sunshine DP. It was a fun card to make.
I hope to show lots more cards in the next few days as I have more time with the school holidays here.

Easter Basket
This is the mini Easter basket I made for a prize at my launch of the new Catalogue last night. I got the pattern and idea from Claire Brennan's Blog It was easy to make and just right for the tiny Easter eggs. I used the bunny and greeting from Greetings Eight, a new set from the new catalogue. The designer paper I have used is Good morning sunshine.
