Diagonal Score Board

Hi there,
today I have been playing with my diagonal score plate that goes on the Simply Scored. It is available from July 1st.
I decided I wanted to make an envelope that fit an A6 card but not as big as the one in the instructions on the board. I want to be able to use just an A4 sheet of paper. Anyway I also worked out 2 other sizes for cards I have recently made.
The yellow card is one I cased from Marelle Taylor and changed it a little but the size is for cutting 3 cards from one sheet of A4. They are 9.9 x 10.5cm when finished. Also a Scallop circle card that I cased from one of my birthday cards this year.
I have also posted these on my Facebook Page.
Please visit my page and click on like for me. Thanks.

I hope this can help you with your envelopes. If you would like to order the NEW diagonal score plate that goes with the Simply scored you can email me and place an order any time. They are  $20.95 plus post.
thanks for stopping by.

Two Step Poppin Pastels

hello,
I hope you have had a nice weekend no matter what you have been doing.
Today I had a technique class and taught a technique I have just tried myself. It is an extra step to the usual Poppin Pastels. First I used a template to mask an area in which I sponged pastels in the area and then stamped the image in Versamark and then went over the versamarked image with the sponge dauber again using the same colour chalk. I like the way it turned out.

it has been quite awhile since I have used Tempting Turquoise so enjoyed using it again.
Have a good week

A Beautiful Season

hello,
today I have 2 Christmas cards. They have the same pieces but done a little differently. On the first one I have punched the vanilla strip and threaded a small strip of Old Olive through it. On the second card I rolled the vanilla piece with the Soft Holly roller and painted the berries. This was the Christmas card for the fundraiser.

well that's about all for today. thanks for stopping by.

Clear Grip

Hi there,
I hope you are enjoying your weekend what ever you may be doing.
I just wanted to pop in to share a tip with you. A couple of weeks ago at my fundraiser I had some problems with my clear mount stamps not staying on the blocks properly. This may have been because mine weren't really clean but I thought there must be a better way. I was at the local sewing patchwork shop and saw a lady putting some Clear Grip on her patchwork ruler to stop it slipping while cutting fabric and it dawned on me that if I put this very thin static cling plastic on my blocks the stamps would cling better. I bought a roll for $10.15 and came home and covered one side of every block I own with this plastic. I did cut it a little smaller than the actual block and rounded the corners to make it neat. Anyway what a wonderful thing.
Now all my stamps cling ALL the time and don't fall off when cleaning and also my stamps that I have unmounted from wood and used the tablecloth vinyl on also stick well and never fall off...
As you can see by the photo you can tell the clear grip is there by the bubbly surface but that is ok, as you then stick the stamp to the right side. The roll is 31.75 x 91.4 cm so you can cover lots of blocks with a roll. I am going to cut a roll in 3 so my customers can buy enough for their blocks without having to buy a whole roll. This could also be used for unmounting your wood mounted stamps.
well I hope this tip has helped you.
have a great day.

Easy Events

Hello,
Today in Perth and most of the south west we are having lots of wind and rain so its a lovely day to spend inside. I had my stamp club this afternoon and I taught the ladies this card that I designed up for Unconvention challenge last weekend. It is a challenge to use 3 different packs of designer paper and so I used the heart embossed piece from Sweet Shop specialty designer paper. The lace circle is from Flirtacious Specialty paper and the grey piece is from a retired paper.
The stamp is one from Easy Events and the greeting is from a Word for You. I have also used Calypso Coral ribbon and raised the birds with dimensionals.

I was lucky enough to win the challenge so that was nice.

Mixed Bunch case

hi again,
This card is another one we made at the fundraiser. My friend cased it for me from the net so not sure who from. Anyway it is made with Mixed Bunch and the blossom punch using this years In Colours. The main flower is Island Indigo.
