Christmas fundraiser cards and gifts.

hello again,
I didn't get back to post the cards yesterday as I had a fall and really hurt my shoulder and back so just rested yesterday. Anyway this morning I have photographed all the projects from Saturday and will show them all even if I have shown some of them previously on my blog. We raised $657 so we were pleased and everyone had a good day.
This is one of the gift ideas. My friends Jennie and Colleen showed me how to make these. I have used my retired Jolly Holiday DSP.

This card was designed by Jennie also and I just had to buy the Aviary set once I had made this card.
This card I used 2 of the new In Colours. Pool Party and Island Indigo.
I used the poinsettia idea that I have seen on the net and once again used the Jolly Holiday papers.

I wanted to use a different colour for this card and hadn't used my new stamp set Welcome Christmas.
This is a complete case from the Flyer for the Stitched Stocking Stamp set.
This is a gift card Stocking that I cased from Jackie Topa
This is the final gift project that we made using the new Candy Wrapper die.

Well thats is all of them. If you need to know any details just email me and I will try to help you out. have a great week

Fun Day had at LBC

Hi there,
Today I held a fundraiser at Lesmurdie Baptist Church. We had a fun day making 2 each of 5 cards and also 3 gift projects. I am so tired but wanted to drop in to at least post something tonight. I just realised I have not taken photos of all the cards so will show you the Christmas trees I made to help decorate the room.
I used the largest pennant from the Pennant Die and stamped the tree from Snow Swirled on both sides and embossed in gold. I then cut up and down the centre and joined them together and added a star on top. The little trees are made using the pennant punch.
well this is just a very short post but once I have photographed the cards I will show you them. I need to get some rest now as today totally exhausted me but I really enjoyed the fellowship of making cards with 15 other ladies. Thank you to all who came along and to my good friend Sandra who did the catering and helped out with everything. Also thank you to my niece Amy who was kind enough to sit with a group of beginners and guide them all day. She is such a patient and caring person. Once I find out the total funds raised I will let you know.
I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Christmas is coming.....

Hi there,
Christmas seems to be coming much faster than I realised. I haven't even made all my Christmas cards yet. I was checking out some blogs yesterday and found a card I really love so stopped everything and made the card. I cased it completely as I had all the stamps etc. This card was created by Catherine Pooler

I am now off to teach a stamp a stack. Have a great day

Stitched Stockings

Hi there,
A promised here I am again to show you the 2 cards we made at LBC yesterday. I am loving my Stitched Stocking stamp set and punch. The first card is a centre step card and I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch on the sides. I have used Old Olive DSP with Cherry Cobbler card.

The second card is a Cased card from Juliet Chapman and I have used Baja Breeze, Real Red and Wild Wasabi for colours.

I'm off to the Craft and Antique Fair today to catch up with my in laws, so it should be a good day.

Wild Flowers from Kings Park

hello again,
yesterday I had to go to West Perth to see my eye specialist. As I was so close to Kings Park I decided to take my new camera and take some photos of all the wildflowers there. For those who don't live in Perth, Kings Park is our beautiful huge park overlooking the city. My friend Chelle gave me the idea as she had been there just the other day. Anyway I am only learning to use my camera but I am pleased with the close up photos I took of all the wildflowers. Unfortunately most of them are just about finished flowering but I am still pleased with my efforts. I only took 187 photos. here are just a few.
 The City View
 Bottle brush
Blue Lace Flower with a bee.

Pea Flower

One of the Kangaroo Paw varieties

 Grevillea
Row of Trees
 Everlasting Daisies
 Black Boy or Grass Tree

Well that's all for today. I will come back tomorrow and show you the cards I taught at LBC today.

Christmas Invite

Hello again,
Over the weekend I made my Christmas party invites. I had always loved a card made by Michelle Zindorf and had bought the stamp set Compliments to the Chef  ages ago to use. Anyway I changed the size of the card to our A5 and this is what I came up with. I didnt add any ribbon as I wanted to keep it quite simple. I am hoping my family like their invites.

I hope your week is going well. I hope to post again soon.

French Foliage

Hi there,
This past week has flown by with appointments and some classes. One of the cards I taught this week is made using French Foliage. I love this set and decided to use it for Versamark resist. I decided on Autumn colours. The First photo is of the leaves close up. On these I used the Rock n' Roll technique. The last card I just added the words with Always Artichoke after sponging over the versamark.

have a great week.

Two Tags Die

hi again,
today I want to show you a lovely little box made with the Two Tags Die. I cased this from Judy May. She has made some lovely things with this die. I liked it so much I didn't change anything apart from the flower and brad.

I must try some other things with this die. I have bought a few new dies lately so need to try them out.
Have a great day

Need for Speed

Hi there,
I have just made a card and now I have my new camera I photographed it straight away. I have wanted to use my new stamp set Need for Speed for awhile. I coloured the cars a week or so ago and so just had to make the card. I cut the car out and shaped it a little before adding to the background.

I went out fishing with Graham on the boat this morning. Not really the kind of day to go out on the water as it was raining as we put the boat in the water. No fish biting either and as it got a little rough we came home by lunch time. Oh well I am sure there will be better days. Now I need to make a card using the boat out of this set.

Anniversary Present

Hi there, today is our Wedding anniversary and Graham surprised me by bringing a present in at 6.30am. He said he had looked up and found that the 9th anniversary was pottery so he had this big pot to replace my pot plant that had broken. As we don't normally worry about buying presents it was a lovely. Anyway he then asked me to look in the pot and there was a Canon digital SLR camera. WOW!! I had been saying I needed a new camera and that I would love to one day have a SLR and he had gone and bought me one but he did say we would both be paying it off over a year interest free. Of course I will have to learn how to use it but the first photo I took was of Skye as she was right there checking out the camera as well. So here she is, all nicely groomed.

As I have not been able to take photos of my cards, the next photo I took after 20 or so of Skye was of one of the cards we made last night in a stamp a stack. This one is cased from my friend Jennie who may have cased it as well. I love making the poinsettia with the leaf from French Foliage. I used Very Vanilla with Riding Hood Red and Garden Green.
Now I am off to learn about how to use my new camera and take all those photos I have been wanting to take. Watch out.... I will be shooting anything that I can. yipppeeee!!!
