Christmas Cards

hello again,
I had hoped to photograph some of my cards this week but I my camera has died and now my mobile phone is dead too, as it ended up on the road and got run over and rained upon. Anyway I have just checked out my photos of cards and have found one I haven't shown you.
This card is one I made using pennant parade stamp set and punch. I love this set as you can use it for all occcasions.

Well its only a short post today. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Out of action....

hi there,
I had planned to blog more this last week but I have been out of action with my worst ever flair up of rheumatoid arthritis. Mostly my own fault for forgetting to put out one medication which had dreadful results. Anyway I am back able to sit up and walk around so hope to get back to some card making and generally live again.
I went out to my rose garden this morning and what a lovely site. I look forward to when we can transfer the roses out to the front of the house so they can be seen, as tucked down the side I don't even see them that much. Anyway I thought I would share a couple of photos of my first spring bloom, late this year due to late pruning.

I picked one of each colour to go in my special vase. The photo below is of the first bunch I picked this spring.
I am hoping to find all the cards I have made lately and photograph them so I can show you. Enjoy the weekend what ever you may be doing.

Creative Elements

hi there,
here I am again... its either a feast or a famine from me....
At Regional's Ngaire did a segment on a workshop and this is the lovely card she used for her make and take. I loved the idea and the stamp set so I recreated it from a photograph. The stamp set is Creative Elements and the colours used are Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive with Whisper White.
Its only a quick post tonight.

Hope your weekend is going well and if you are in Perth, you are enjoying this lovely spring weather.

Beautiful Season.

hello again,
I now have my computer back so its much easier for me. Its funny how you get used to one computer. I thought I would pop in this evening to show another card. This card is one I designed using a technique used in one of the make and takes from our regional meeting. I just changed the colours and  stamp set and this is my Christmas card. I loved the way this gate fold card opens up. I have tried to take photos of it at different stages. I brayered a piece to put inside the card. I rolled the main card with soft holly roller using Old Olive and then used a cotton bud to dot in the berries. I cut a piece of scalloped dot ribbon in half to put behind the old olive card at the opening of the card.

I still have more cards to take photos of and I will be back with more soon. have a great weekend.

Its been awhile.....

wow I just checked in and realised I haven't posted for 10 days. I really must set myself a reminder. Its not like I don't have anything to show you, I just get busy with life and forget to post.

I had Emily's 18th birthday party on Saturday and it went off really well. For her birthday present she asked for an acrobatic flight so we went out to Jandakot on Friday afternoon and watched as she actually controlled the plane for taxi-ing and take off. It was a half hour flight and she loved every minute of it. Her dad paid half so it was a joint present. We had a dinner at Nero's for the family party on Friday night and then her friends party on Saturday here. I cooked all day and they all loved the food so I was happy.

Anyway back to cards. I have some more from World Card Making Day. I made use of some swaps from Regional's and the first one is Pendant Park. I have had this set for ages and never used it so thought it was about time. I changed it by sponging over the scored lines to make them noticeable and also the greeting. I have just looked everywhere for my swap that I cased to acknowledge the creator and cant find it anywhere. If it was yours please let me know.

The next card is also a case made by Jenny Chilton. I didnt get this swap but saw it on Jenny's blog. I gave the girls a choice of colours and they all looked great. Thanks Jenny for a lovely card.

I don't have my own computer this week as Emily has taken it on holiday with her so I am using Graham's. Its strange how you get used to one computer. I hope to post some more this week but for now I have to get the washing out on the line to make use of this beautiful sunny weather. thanks for stopping by.

Happy World Card Making Day

Hi there and I hope you have had a Happy World Card Making Day. I have had a fun day with some friends making cards while the boys were up the other end of the house watching the Grand Final. I'm sure we had more fun. I am just popping in to show you a couple of cards and I hope to edit my photos and show you more later in the week.

This is a little booklet that my friend Shelly donated for us to use today. I have been doing brayering on lots of cards lately and I think it looks good behind this great flower. The card below is one made with my favourite set at the moment and that is field Flowers.
Hope the rest of the weekend is a good one for you. Until next time
