Topnote Die Purse

Hi, The reason I haven't updated my blog for so long is that I have been sick with a cold for 2 weeks and have been coughing for 5 weeks. Yesterday I found out that I have either Pneumonia or Bronchiectasis. Hopefully it is pneumonia and not Bronchiectasis. I am now on stronger antibiotics so hope I will be well again soon.
As I haven't done any stamping lately I thought I would show you a little purse I made a while back. I didn't show it then as I sent it to my secret sister. I used both the Top note Die and also the scalloped circle Die. I used my circle scissors to cut the outer circle. I love making the little scallop punch flowers.

Striped Swipe

Hi there. Once again I have neglected my blog. I do have an excuse as I still have a bad cough and last Friday got a cold to add to it. Today I have had a real sick day and didn't get out of my dressing gown all day which is unusual for me. It has been years since I have had a bad cold so I'm not enjoying this much. It has given me some time to play on the computer today while being camped on the lounge. I changed my blog template and now its time to show you a card.
A couple of weeks ago my friend Jennie showed me the striped swipe technique and so I decided to have a go at it. I used Brocade Blue and Certainly Celery reinkers to do my background and then stamped with Asian Artistry stamp set.I am going to miss Brocade Blue as it is the blue I use most. Hopefully I will get back here and show you some more soon.

Mojo Week 137 and SSC124

Last week I got together with my friends and we did a couple of sketch challenges. This is one of my cards. It is Mojo week 137. I used the Autumn days stamp set and the co-ordinating designer paper.
My other card is sketch SSC124 and I decided to make a Christmas card as I will be starting my Christmas stamp a stacks this month. I used Season of Joy with Old Olive and Riding Hood Red.
Its just a quick post tonight as I am off to bed to read my book. I have really been enjoying reading lately. Have a good week.

Paper Crafters Sampler July

Well its that time of the month again and the Paper Crafters Sampler is here. Remember I design for an American Sampler so over there it is Summer time.

It’s summertime. This time of year offers many opportunities for outdoor recreation; baseball, Bar-B-Q’s, tennis and more.

While these outsides activities are fun, they’ll have you hankering for ways to keep cool, and keeping cool is what our July “Summer Breeze” sampler is all about.

We’ve got a refreshing twist this month. The projects within offer ideas for keeping you ‘cool’ during these hot humid days. Enjoy creating large funky circle shade trees, tropical drinks, beautiful beachscapes, and more

You can view my sneak peek project below: Remember to use my code PCSAB when you subscribe.
There are plenty of great projects in this month's Sampler. Mine is a side step card. have fun

Sketch Challenge 287

I have made a couple of cards lately using a sketch challenge from SCS. This one is SC 287. The first card is using a sticker with Stampin' Up! colours. The second card I made on the weekend. Lee-Anne gave me a chance to try out Copic markers. It was fun but I would have to do lots of practise to get it looking as good as Lee-Anne's cards. Its a great sketch to work with. I didn't have it with me when I did the Sara Kay girl but remembered what it was like.

Its nice to have some rain here in Perth today and we had a really cold day as well. It actually feels l;ike winter. We really get a very mild winter here. have a great weekend.

Baby Gift Cards

I have been making some baby gift cards so thought I would show you 2 of them. Made with the giraffe out of Wild About You. I used some sheer ribbon with the words on. I think they look cute.
Well this is a just a quick post today. I still have a croaky voice and cough that is making me feel like just doing nothing much. After 10 days I thought I would have gotten rid of it but its a virus that seems to be hanging around.

A Rose is a Rose

After a nice relaxing time away I am ready to get back to some creating this week but I thought I would show you what I made last week first. After getting my A Rose is a Rose set out for the fundraiser last week I decided to use it again with the same colours to make a tissue box cover. I bought the tissues cheaply and thought it might be nice to make a cover for it. It took me a couple of tries to get the box the right size but I am pleased with the end result. What do you think?

More cards from the fundraiser

Boy the days have gotten away from me and here it is Friday already. I thought Id better come back and show you the rest of the cards we did on Saturday.
The next card I designed using the shape of the crimped background to make the diamond centre piece. I used the lovely hostess set Echoes of Kindness for the sweet pea.

the next card is one I made a few years ago which was also cased but I redid it using the polka dot folder with the Big Shot.
There is another card but I seem to have not photographed it so you will have to wait until another time.

I'm going away for a relaxing break with my good friend Lee-Anne tomorrow, just for the one night but we are going to just veg out and make a few cards and not have to think about family things or work for awhile.
Have a great weekend what ever you may be doing.
