Paper Crafters Sampler Sneak Peek and Blog Hop

Its that time of the month again, Paper Crafters Sampler Blog Hop. Each month design team members are asked to participate in a blog hop.  The hop offers a sneak peek of what will be offered in upcoming issues.

Our May theme is "Together Forever". This issue offers ideas for invitations, favours and gifts for the bride and groom.  Each design team member will be sharing a small preview of the project they are offering in the May issue.

This month's issue also offers the Pyramid Box template. Follow our blog hop to see the different takes that each member of the design team came up with.
You can view my sneak peek project below: Remember to use my code PCSAB when you subscribe.
You will have either started here or come from Cherie's blog.
I decided to make my pyramid box in white and vanilla. My good friend Colleen suggested this and I am pleased with how it came out. I embossed the Vanilla card with the manhattan flower folder and my big shot. So that it would match on both sides I turned the second side over to the debossed side. I went over the embossed ridges with glue pen and added dazzling diamonds. I have then used Vanilla grosgrain for the hanger and bows. A quite simple but effective wedding decoration.
The last photo shows the debossed side which I have added dazzling diamonds to as well.

Now its on to Laurie's Blog for a look at her designs.

Impossible Box

I was checking out my friend Richelle's blog and she had an impossible box she had made so of course I had to follow the link to Just Add Ink to find out how it worked. So as I haven't done any stamping this week I thought I would give it a try. I love the sweet pea stamp in Echo's of Kindness so used that stamp and Red Riding Hood and Old Olive for colour. One thing I didnt take into account was the lid coming down over the box sides so my sweet peas are going under the lid. If I dont put the lid right down though it looks ok. Anyway I suppose its not too bad for a quick make.

Now this looks better with the lid not quite down.

I will be back later with the PCS blog hop and Sneak Peek. We are 12 hours ahead of the US so if the other girls havent got theirs up yet just be patient and come back later.
have a great weekend

ESAD Mother's day Blog Hop

As promised here I am today with the ESAD Mother's Day Blog Hop. We have decided to showcase the new Big Shot and the Dies and embossing folders that have been released by Stampin' Up! in the latest mini catalgoue.
ESAD stands for Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators and it is an online group just for Australian and New Zealand demonstrators for Stampin’ Up!®.
We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends and wonderful blog visitors but we share our love for what we do with each other as Demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know how and cyberstamps and we are always there to help and support each other when its needed.
So if you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.
You may have come here from Angie Brown's Blog or maybe this is your first stop. Anyway I hope you enjoy seeing all the creations we have for you today.

I decided to use the Scallop Circle die and created this little purse and filled it with yummy ferrero rocher chocolates. These were my favourites when I was allowed to eat chocolate. I made the box so it just fits inside the scallop shape and when I get a few moments will give you the measurements and instructions for it. I used the Always in Bloom roller and inked it with versamark on glossy white card and then brayered over it with Sage Shadow. One of my fave colours lately. I then made flowers using the boho blossom punch and cut the leaves with the sizzlets leaves die. I used pink pirouette ribbon and also sponged the flowers with pink as well.

Anyway that is all from me so now you can hop off to Ros Davidson's blog.

Now if you do make it around all of the blogs and leave comments on all of them you are then in the running for some Blog Candy!  Yes we have blog candy!  There will be two winners – one from New Zealand and one from Australia. All you have to do is to visit and comment on each of the blogs in todays blog hop and then send an email to the lovely Sharlene Torres and advise that you have commented on all the blogs and give her your name, email and location.
Happy hopping.

Catalogue Case

Hi everyone,

I hope your week is going well. I taught a stamp a stack yesterday and the cards chosen by the hostess were from the Idea Book and Catalogue. They are from page 76 and 87. I had to change the stamp set to Eastern Blooms for the first one as I didn't have the stamp set used in the catalogue. I can hear some of you wondering how that is possible with my collection of stamp sets. No I dont have all of them. It sure makes it easy to whip up a couple of cards in a hurry when you are using the IB&C. The second card is done with the set Le Jardin Botanique.

I will be back on Friday with another blog hop. ESAD are doing a Mother's Day gifts hop using the new Big Shot so I thought I would join in as they are fun to do. See you then I hope.

Asian Artistry

This is a card I made using Asian Artistry. I love this set. It is a level 2 hostess set available in the Autumn Winter Mini catalogue. I have used the haiku papers and have stamped on the inside and envelope as well. I have been starting on my swaps for convention so havent made any new cards lately. I will have to make something new to show you this week.

Another Vintage Vogue

I really love this new set. I found a card I liked and decided to case it but it is always hard to work out the sizes of each layer. Anyway this is my card. I have just hunted all through my favourite card ideas and cant find the card anywhere so if this is your card idea please let me know so I can give you the credit.

I am off to Manjimup tomorrow for a break and to see my family. I am staying on the farm with my mum and dad and plan to do very little other than read and rest. I will be back with more cards next week I hope.

Totally Tess

I'm back from Horrock's so thought I would show you another card.
I wasn't sure what I would do with Tess once I had coloured her in and then thought I would use the crimped background. I drew the white lines with the gel pen. I figured that wish big was appropriate for someone who loves stamps.

I will be back with more cards in the next few days.

Pony Party

Im still on holiday but while I still have some internet cover I will show you some more of my cards made for the launch. As soon as I saw the Pony Party set I decided that I would buy some My little ponies to display the cards with at the launch. Unfortunatley I didnt get time to make more then one so here it is with the pony to match. Below is the close up of the pony. I have used the new IN colour Rich Razzleberry with Orchid Opulance for the card.

Until next time

Bird Punch Cards

I really love the new punch we have. Its the 2 step bird punch. There are so many things you can do with it as you would have seen in the blog hop. I made 3 different cards for my launch so I thought I would show them to you. I cased the ideas and just made them differently.

Holidaying at Horrock's

Here I am on holiday at Horrock's Beach. We are camping.... Yes that is right, camping in a tent. Im really enjoying the break away as I dont have to do anything if I dont want to. I have been really tired and in a lot of pain with my arthritis lately so this is just what I needed. Graham is looking after himself and also taking care of me if I want him to. I have read half my book since last night and that is good for me.

I thought the sign above was a good one so I took a photo of it. I hope Skye can read it....
I have put some photos up but am not used to the new format so they are not quite where I wanted them. Anyway they are of Graham and Skye. Pitching the tent. The ocean, and Skye rolling in the sea weed. Its her first time at the beach. The weather has been over cast and cool so not the best for boating. I love it as its not too hot in the tent for me.
We have a great site as it is away from any other tents. I think I could get used to camping with a few added things. I dont think I would like it in really hot weather though.
Anyway I hope you are having a happy Easter. I will show you some more cards in my next post.

What is ESAD you say?

You may be just starting the hop but if not you would have come from Kristine's Blog
Today I am showing you some cards I have made using the set Autumn Days. I didnt think I would use the pheasant out of this set, until my friend Colleen told me about the pheasants on her brothers farm in New Zealand and used him on a card we were making together. She has nicknamed him "Heath". So now Heath is being used and loved. Here are my cards.

I have used the large oval punch for the vase and used the new designer paper Autumn Traditions.
On this card I have used the technique crayon resist. The colours are Basic Black, Brocade Blue and So Saffron. Heath looks great on this card.

I love versamark resist so have used that on the base of this card and brayered over with Sage Shadow. I have then used Handsome Hunter for the contrasting colour. The Butterfly is a single stamp called All a Flutter and also from the new mini. Here is Heath again on my last card. I tried a new technique for me in Fossil Stone. The colours are Handsome Hunter, Real Rust and More Mustard. The greeting is from the new set Heard from the Heart.
"We are again offering Blog Candy for our Blog Hop. What you need to do is complete the blog hop until you get back to me. Once you've visited and commented on every blog then you will need to email Sharlene at stampwithsharlene@hotmail.com who will then put your name into the draw for the blog candy. There will be one winner from New Zealand and one winner from Australia.
Please note, Stampin' Up! Demonstrators are not eligible to win the Blog Candy.

Now that you have seen my creations you now need to hop off to Andrea Eppingstall's Blog
have fun and come back another day to see what else I have been doing with the wonderful new sets in the mini.
