Card Folder with 4 Cards

Hi again, Are you surprised to find me posting again so soon. well don't get too used to it as I am likely to slow down again. Mainly because my memory is so bad and I forget to post...

I made this set of 4 cards recently which I totally cased from Rochelle Wick. I did change the sizing of the folder to fit our A5 cards and the colours but why change it any more when you like what you see. The colours I used are Lavender Lace and Mellow Moss with some Pretty in Pink thrown in. The reason I chose these colours is that they are the first 2 ink pads I bought when I went to my first Stampin' Up! workshop. Soft Subtles were always my favourite but I have since found that Rich Regals are my most chosen colours now. The stamp sets are Flight of the Butterfly and Pocket Silhouettes. Let me know what you think. These cards look great done in lots of other colours as well.

Have a happy and safe weekend

Thank you for all your comments.

What a day for blog hopping. I took over 2 hours myself going through everyone's blog and seeing all the wonderful creations. I was hoping to be able to thank everyone personally for your comments but I realise that I don't have everyone's email address or the time tonight to do it so I am here to say a BIG thank you for all the wonderful comments you have all left for me today. Before this, comments on my posts have been rare but wow 38 so far today. I know the blog candy give away is an incentive but thanks anyway and you have really encouraged me with my designing of cards. It seems that the easel card and the Haiku square punched one are about equal in popularity. I loved seeing all the other creations today as well. Aren't we a clever bunch of stampers! have a wonderful Australia Day tomorrow.

Valentine's Card

Fancy me doing 2 posts in one day. I am having the morning off from cleaning so have some time. Also I want you to know that I will be participating in the ESAD Sale-A-bration Blog Hop on Monday so come back and take a look. There are 40 demo's in the blog hop so you will get so much inspiration for using your free stamps.

While busy with cleaning I still managed to do a little stamping at a friends place. I thought I would show you the card I have made for Graham for Valentine's Day. I know he doesn't look at my blog so I can show you. I used the pop up card idea from Valita but changed the centre fold so I could use SU card instead of paper. I decided to use stamps and things I haven't used for awhile or not at all since I bought them. I used the heart to heart punch for the pop up bit and the full heart punch for the flower on the front. I also used my build a brads for the centre of the flower. The little heart is from Cheep talk. The little punched hearts are stuck on small strips of thin acetate.
I don't use Bold Brights very often so made myself use Real Red and Gable Green. On the front I stamp the flower from the Sprinkles stamp set and inside the hearts from that set. I used Wonderful Favourites inside. The Valentine greeting on the front is from seasonal wishes.

I hope you are having a good weekend. I have a busy but enjoyable weekend ahead. Stamp club this afternoon and then we have just been invited to friends for a BBQ tonight and then I am on the worship team at church tomorrow so will be singing up front in both services.
We bought Emily's Ball gown for her year 12 Ball last week so are taking it for a quote for taking it up on Sunday afternoon at one of my Mum's friends place. I was going to do the alterations myself as I used to be a sewer but thought I could do without the stress of getting it just right. I cant wait to show you Emily in her ball gown but you will have to wait until February 27th for that.
Well I had better get off here and get ready for club.... I have been so chatty here today. You will wonder what I am on...lol

What I have Been Doing.

I suppose you are wondering why I haven't posted anything on my blog lately. Well I have a very good reason. I have rearranged my craft room and have been very busy going through all the boxes that piled up before Christmas and while I haven't been doing so well with arthritis. Anyway my good friend Lee-Anne's mum Chris kindly offered to come over and help me sort out what to do with my room to make it more organised. With a few alterations of cupboards by my wonderful husband Graham I now have 12 x 12 storage. He put shelves in a couple of my cupboards and we moved the cupboards around and put a flat screen TV on the wall so I could make a little area for the kids for a family room and still be able to have my classes etc in here. I will add a few photos of after the furniture move and while I was sorting. I am far from finished but as I had my first stamp club for the year on Thursday night and another one today I needed to at least get the table area sorted. I still have a pile of boxes still to go through and sort where to put things. I am really pleased with what I have got done and realise I have lots to go but one box at a time and it will get done.
these first 2 pictures were taken on Thursday at 1 PM and I had class that evening.

What a difference. I worked really hard and did 9,000 steps on my step counter just in the house. and the result is below. I now have a coffee station set up all the time.

This view shows the TV area with my table for class. We haven't decided how we are going to store the DVD recorder and set top box. Graham did well out of this move as he got a new bigger flat screen TV and we got the old one down here. Luckily there were huge sales on TVs last week so we got a bargain.

I wont show you my work desk and stamp storage yet as I am still working on that area.
These last photos I just quickly took to show you the shelves Graham made for me. Below is the cupboards dividing my work area from the family room. I have put all my nestabilities into CD folders and they are in the CD box I got for $3 at a garage sale, on the side of my cupboard.

These shelves are for my non SU 12 x 12 that I have collected over the years. They have yet to be sorted in to colours and labeled neatly.

This is in my 2 door pantry cupboard. I have plastic containers labeled for storage and then these shelves for all my SU designer papers. I still need to sort them. I have so many that I think I may need to use some of the other shelves as well.

Changing look of Blog

Hi there. Happy New Year. I have been fiddling with the look of my blog tonight and its still not finished but as it is late I am going to have another play with it in the next couple of days. Until then it will have to stay the way it is. I hope your weekend is going ok. It sure is hot here in Perth. It would be nice to have a few cooler days but I suppose those of you that are having winter would like it to be warmer. Anyway wherever you may be, have a wonderful day.
take care
