I have had a quiet week this week but taught my usual Wednesday class today. Jan said she would like to make a graduation card for her son so I browsed SCS and found a card I quite liked as it uses the cuttlebug and I havent used mine enough since I bought it. Anyway this is my version of the card I saw this morning. here is the lovely card I cased.
I was quite pleased with this card and now look forward to someone I know graduating so I can use it. The colours I have used are Confetti White, Brilliant Blue and Black.

Window card for my Mum
I have been tired this week and apart from teaching card making havent actually made a card so I thought I would show you the card I made my mum for her 70th Birthday. It is a window card. Some people call them window shopping. I just used bought stickers to put in the window on this one. I have used a retired SU stampset for the verse inside. I have taught this card on my Wednesday class and also on Thursdays and everyone seems to like this one.

More Roses from my Garden
Kissing
No I'ts not the kissing you were probably thinking it was. This is the technique I taught today. My Wednesday girls do general card making, but today I thought I would teach them some stamping and one of the 4 cards we did was this one, using the kissing technique. I have used the stamp set Simply Said and also Curvy Verses and Heartfelt Thanks.
I also used the canvas background to kiss my solid flower stamp onto before stamping. The colours I have used are Real Red and Night of Navy on White.

Nestabilities
Well now back to card making. I thought I would show you a photo of the oval scalloped nestabilities that I was talking about last week. I haven't made any more cards yet but look forward to playing with them some more this week. If you are wanting some of these just email me and I will tell you more about them. They come either as one set of 5 or 6 dies or the complete set of 4 packs of dies in either square, rectangle, oval or circle. If you want to have a play with them you are welcome to come and visit and see how they work with the cuttlebug. email me
Our fishing trip
I said I would have a different photo for you after our fishing trip on the boat on Sunday. Unfortunately it isnt of a big fish that we caught. The best I could do is of the Pelican hanging around the Jetty as we bought the boat in. For some reason Graham has yet to find where to catch fish and even with a fish finder it is not happening. There was a bit of excitement when he dropped his fishing rod overboard and decided to dive in after it so he wouldnt lose it. I thought he had fallen in. The $15 fishing rod was saved but he managed to lose his prescription sunglasses so we didnt save anything. Also the one day we forgot to take towels with us and hes wet and very cold in the breeze. We did catch 2 very small fish each and threw them back. On the way back to shore Graham caught 2 squid so he at least got some squid rings from the trip.

Poppin pastels
I had my Saturday stamp club today. The 2 techniques I taught were Poppin Pastels and Ghosting or versamark resist. The card we made was using the "A new little someone set". I cased this card from a friend of mine..( thanks Jennie) I had previously done it in Pink and Blue but today there were all colours done and I decided to do mine in Barely Banana. I think it looks good in all of the soft subtle colours. We used the Print pattern background and of course Stampin Pastels to colour the background and re-inkers to paint the bunny.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm going out on the boat fishing with Graham in the morning so I may have some different photos to share with you tomorrow.

Nestabilities
I have been quiet for the past couple of days as I had a visit to the hospital to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy. As I had to have a full anesthetic, I enjoyed a really good sleep at the hospital and last night when I got home.
I went over to my friend Lee-Anne's today to have a play with my new Spellbinder Nestabilities die cutters. I used them with my Cuttlebug and they worked really well. I managed to figure out a good "sandwich". I also used my cuttlebug to emboss the mauve strip with the divine swirl folder.

One last thing to show you
After making 7 cards for WCMD I decided I needed to make this tote to take the cards home in. I got the pattern from Jenni Oliver who I think got the pattern from SCS. What a wonderful web site that is for sharing ideas and wonderful cards with everyone.
If you havent gone there the address is http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/
I'm sure if you put in card tote in the search you will get to see many of these great little totes.
I have to warn you to allow lots of hours for browsing the site. I think I look at cards much more than I actually make them. Sometimes I have to ban myself from coming down to the office to look at the computer so I can get some card making done. I think we are all guilty of that at times. I do love to look at everyone elses lovely cards.
Anyway I had better get off the computer now as I have just got my spellbinders nestabilities dies and cant wait to try them out. When I do I will show you what I have created. If you are interested in purchasing any of these let me know as I bought extras for my friends. Just email me privately.

World Card Making Day
World Card making day is over for this year. My event went off really well with 17 ladies coming for a great day of stamping. I prepared 8 projects for the day and my good friend Sandra catered for lunch and afternoon tea. The food was yummy. Thank you so much Sandra for all your help.
I am so tired now that I will post some photos of the cards we made tomorrow.
What a wonderful way to spend the day.

thank you
Goodmorning. Thank you to those who have left a message for me on my first blog post. I went out into my garden this morning and picked some roses and thought how lucky I am to have beautiful flowers in my garden. When we moved here I left a garden full of roses behind, and Graham suggested we didnt plant roses here as they are a lot of work but I managed to change his mind and we planted a rose garden and are both glad we did as it is wonderful to have such pretty flowers to look at and pick to enjoy inside as well.
I have an inspirational quote book near my bed and every night I turn the page over to read the next days quote and I thought todays was appropriate for bloggers.
"The greatest of life's pleasures are shared."
So in my next post I will share with you one of the cards I have made.

I have no idea what I am doing.....
Hi, I really have no idea how to have a blog but thought I'd give it a try. I'm hoping I will figure it out by trial and error.
I have been busy all day preparing for my World Card Making Day event and should still be doing that, but thought I'd take a break and write my first post.
I have 18 people coming to the day and we will be making 8 projects. My good friend Sandra, is catering the food and drinks so I just have the cards to concentrate on. The theme for the day is "Flower Power" so of course all the cards are made with floral stamp sets and I have so many flower sets I didnt have any problem having enough cards.
I also took Photos of the flowers in my garden and have printed them on A4 card for the table number signs.
The above photo is of one of my roses. I will add some cards in the next day or so.... in between preparation time...
