ESAD Holiday Mini Catalogue Blog Hop

Hi there,
Before I send you off on the Blog hop I thought I would update you on what has been happening in our lives here in the Buckland household. As some of you know, Graham was made redundant on the 17th June. Well he still has not been able to find work. He has applied to so many jobs but he just hasn't been able to get one.
Then I slipped on a chip and fell flat on my back at the shopping centre a few weeks ago and hurt my back so I am having physio twice a week for that. I am hoping that it will get better soon as I hate being so restricted in what I do. Anyway that is some of the reasons why I haven't been blogging much in the past 2 months. I hope to get back into it soon.
Now on with the Hop!!!

You may have come here via Anna's Blog or if you have started here you can hop on around from here.
The projects I have to show you today are from a selection of stamp sets and embossing folders from the mini. The first one used the set Wishing You and the embossing folder Pretty Print. Also some of the DSP from Season of Style.

This second card is made using Joyful Christmas and Vellum for heat embossing the poinsettia on and then I sponged it with Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green

The next card is using Wonderful Wreath

On this card I have used Santas list and Wishing You

The final card is also using Wishing You and some of the Season of Style DSP.

Well that is all for now. You can now hop along to Mel Sharp's lovely blog.
thanks for stopping by.

You may have just hopped from Rochelle Blok's Blog or if you are just starting here you can hop on around all 25 of the blogs in this hop.
I decided to show The Wildflower Meadow stamp with matching embossing folder and also the Label Love Stamp set with Punch. I made a card in each of the new In Colours using a couple of different layouts. On this first one I have painted the flowers made with Simply Pressed Clay with ink and also dyed the white ribbon to match. I have used embossing folders on each of them.

The happy birthday on this card is from the new set Sketched Birthday.

This final card is done by stamping in Whisper White craft ink and drying it and then using re-inkers to paint it with and then embossed with the matching folder.
I have had one of my launch parties and the gift I made for those who attended is also made using the Wildflower Meadow stamp and Label love. it is a plain notepad covered and the stamped strip added.
I used Pool Party with Coastal Cabana and Pink Pirouette with the Strawberry Slush.

thanks for stopping by. It is now time to hop on over to Delys Cram's Blog to check out what lovely projects she has made for you.

LBC Fundraiser

hi there, Once again its been awhile since I have posted. I have enjoyed creating new cards and also casing some for my annual fundraiser for Lesmurdie Baptist Church. I have also been away on a card making camp with my friend Pat Carr. Anyway this year we raised $1946 for the African Mission so I am very happy. I have shown some of the card on my Facebook page but forgot to pop over here and show them so here are some.
This first card is in Bashful Blue and using the set For the Birds. I have also used the Delicate Designs folder down the edge. Bashful Blue is one of the colours that will be retiring this year. I will miss it as its such a lovely shade of blue.

This second card was the favourite on the day. I love this Island Indigo colour. It is one of the In Colours that will be coming in to the main Colour Collections along with Pool Party. The stamp set is Secret Garden.

This card is also using a retiring colour. Regal Rose. The actual card we made on the day was in Pretty in Pink. Both mine and Graham's mum will be getting one of these cards

I'm off to get ready for my Stamp Club now but will return to show you more.
thanks for stopping by.

Where have I been?

Hi there,
You may be wondering where I have been since my last post. Graham had a week off work over Easter so we went down to Mt Barker and Albany for a holiday. It was so nice down there and we went sightseeing in the Stirling Ranges. Since we have been back I have been busy designing the cards for my upcoming fundraiser for Lesmurdie Baptist Church.
Lots of things have been happening with Stampin' Up! You can now shop online at any time you like by going to my demonstrator website here and clicking on Shop Now.  Of course you can still email me your order or phoning me but now you have the freedom of shopping when it suits you.
I have only just set up my DBWS so it has only a few things there but will add more to it as I find the time.
Today I would like to show you a card I made while trying to decide on a swap for Convention.
It is made using the Lattice Die with the Big Shot and then the lovely stamp Set Secret garden. I made this one with Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant. We have just heard that Stampin Up are refreshing their colours and Wisteria Wonder is one of the In Colours that will be coming into the main colours.

There is so much to update on so I will try to get back and tell you more soon. Have a wonderful day

Two Toned Embossing.

Today is my last post on techniques.
For this technique I used Gold and Silver embossing powder and added one in just a few areas and then tapped off the excess and then finished with the second colour. I think it looks really nice for something a little different.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the different techniques that I taught at my training camp. If you want to know more about how to do each of these different techniques then you can Google them or go to Splitcoast Stampers and find these and so many more.

Thank you for stopping by over the past week.

Salted background.

This technique was fun to do. Everyone had different results. I found it hard to get a nice image stamping straight onto the salted area as it was rough, so would suggest using it as a background and adding a stamped piece on top. You need Glossy card and re-inkers, water and salt.

One more technique to go so come back tomorrow for the last one.

Another Faux....

yes its another Faux for you today. This time its Faux Cloisonne  I have been meaning to try this technique for years and just never got to it. You just emboss an image on glossy magazine pages and cut them out and put on your card. I just have the technique sheet for you today as I am not happy with the card and haven't had time to remake it. Each technique we did I made a 6x6 sheet for the ladies to add to an album.

Faux Patina

hello again, Today I have another Faux for you. This time it is Faux Patina. This makes a great background. Again I have used the stamp set Stippled Blossoms.

Just brief posts for this week as I have plenty to keep me busy.

Faux Flocking

Today's technique is Faux Flocking. To make the flocking I rolled up a piece of card and used a grater to make some fluff. You can use a distressing tool or scissors along the edge of the card as well but its much quicker to grate the card. Then I used the tombow glue to attach it to the stamped image. It works well for trees and larger areas as with smaller stamped images you lose the shape. The oak tree from Lovely as a Tree looks great done with this technique.

I've done it again.....

....wow it has been 2 weeks since I last updated my blog. The time goes by so quickly and I totally forgot to come back and show you the rest of the techniques. What's new....
I had a lovely time away in Manjimup with my family and have been enjoying creating some wonderful cards that I have been saving on Pinterest.
I am now making the cards for my annual fundraiser for our Lesmurdie Baptist Church Mission. The all day stamping day is on May 4th and I would love it if you are in the area and would like to come along and help me raise some funds for the Church Mission for this year. It is a fun day and the lunch and morning and afternoon tea is scrumptious. The cards are great too!

Anyway here is the next technique that I taught at my team camp. It is Faux Silk. I love the Stippled Blossoms stamp set and used it here with Pretty in Pink and Rose Red.

I will show you the rest of the techniques over the coming week.

Faux Dry Embossing.

Another technique for you today. This is a very simple card using the Faux Dry Embossing technique. Colours are Bravo Burgundy and Sahara Sand. Two colours that I have not used in a long time so thought I would get them out.

I hope you have had a good weekend so far. We have a long weekend here in Western Australia so another day to play.
I am off to Manjimup for a few days now so will post some more cards later in the week. Enjoy your week.

Baby Wipe Technique

Today I have a card using the Baby White technique. I loved this way of stamping. Making up your own unique stamp pad with a baby wipe and re-inkers. Such fun. I used my new stamp set Raining Flowers and the words from Perfectly Penned. The colours I used are Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo and Pool Party.

Crayon Rubbed Embossing.

thanks for visiting again. Today I have a card made using the Crayon Rubbed Embossing Technique. The technique tells you to use a white crayon but I used a pink one and then as it coloured my white card stock I decided to add some Pink Pirouette to tie in with the background.
The stamp set used is Serene Silhouette. I brayered with Bashful Blue and used used Marina Mist and Whisper White card.
If you would like to learn some of these techniques you can find the instructions in many places on the net. Just Google them and see what you find.
