Birthday Cards

Hi there,
As promised I have photographed all my handmade birthday cards and plan to show you them over a few days. I got so many lovely cards. All made with love. My good friend Colleen was MC on the night and here is her card. It came in its own box with a window to see part of it. I love it.

This next card is made by Jennie Cass. What a lot of work went into this card. I think it is very clever.

 Card partly open
 Card fully open
I'll add some more each day. I'm off to Manjimup for the weekend for my sister-in-law's 50th Party. I'm looking forward to spending time with my family as I really didn't get much time with them at my own party.

Happy 50th Birthday to Me

Hi everyone,
what a wonderful 50th birthday I have had. On Saturday I had my party with over 60 of my family and friends gathering together for a fun night. So far I have heard that everyone enjoyed themselves. My good friend Sandra worked hard in the kitchen and other friends kindly made food for the party. Wow we had so much food that there was heaps over. My friend Colleen was MC and did a great job. The ice breaker game was so good and everyone got to know each other. Everyone had name tags saying their name and what people could talk to them about. After the savoury part of the food my friend Grace and her 3 beautiful daughters helped me do a little concert for my guests. We named our group "Andy and The Price Girls" and with 2 guys on guitars and a drummer we had our little band. We only had 2 rehearsals so it wasn't perfect but hey we had fun and that was what it was all about. Some people, when they turn 50, get a tattoo or jump out of a plane but I always wanted to sing in a group so that is what I did.
After that we had dessert which my sister Sue helped out with lots of yummy slices and my niece Amy made the best Florentines. Sandra made me a wonderful birthday cake and iced and decorated it too. I have a photo to show you. It isn't the best photo as my camera battery is flat but I will have some photos to show you later in the week when I get my disc from the photographer. Yes I had a professional photographer to capture all my family and friends for me and she did a great job. Anyway I will stop rambling for now and come back tomorrow with some photos of all the beautiful birthday cards I received.

Easter Cross

Hi there,
last week I taught my class to make this cross with punches. It makes a nice Easter card. I saw a card like this on the net ages ago and worked out how to do it but didnt actually use it for a card until now. This is made with the scallop trim border and corner punches.

Sorry I haven't been around lately. I am still preparing for my 50th party but also it has been so hot here I don't feel like doing much. I will have lots of photos next week to show you of the party.

The weekend is here already. Whatever your plans I hope you have a wonderful time. I have stamp Club this afternoon. Which reminded me that we had done the Plaid Silhouette technique last month. I had previously shown you one of the cards we did and this is the second card using Upsy Daisy. I even used the technique on the greeting. A very easy technique to do.

thanks for stopping by

At our last get together with my friends Jennie and Colleen, we made children's cards. This card Jennie had for us is using Fox and Friends. The punched pieces are suspended on dental floss. The colours are Really Rust and Crumb Cake with Old Olive.

Time Flies by....

Hi there,
Time sure is flying by this year. Here in Australia the new year has brought with it so many natural disasters. Here in Perth only a few kilometres from my home there has been terrible bush fires with 69 homes completely burnt plus so many more damaged. Please keep these people in your prayers.

Its quiet around here as Emily started Tafe yesterday. She is studying graphic design. She is still looking for a job for the days she isn't studying but has had no luck yet.

I have been neglecting my blog but I have been busy preparing for my 50th Birthday party. Less then 2 weeks away and I still have more to do. I have made some cards so I thought it was about time I posted something. It was back to LBC last week and I had my first class here at home last night. The first technique I taught was Faux tearing. I used up some of my Pale Plum with Rich Razzleberry and Bashful Blue with Not Quite Navy. I also got out my very neglected Garden Whimsy. I used En Francais for the background.

I will try to get back more this week and I have just photographed a few cards I have made over the past few weeks. Have a good week
