Hi again,
What a wonderful day I had yesterday teaching 26 lovely people to make 8 projects. Quite a few of the people attending were new to stamping but all managed to create beautiful cards. After 3 weeks of preparation and the full day yesterday I fell into bed at 7pm last night and even the planned reading of my book only lasted for half an hour before I gave in and went to sleep. It was all SO worth it. We managed to raise $1810. I need to say a big thank you to my good friend Sandra for all her help and also Eileen and Tina who looked after the catering for the day. We sure had some nice food for the day.
Today I have been resting after going to church as I have got a chesty cough and a headache and since I now have a few days with nothing on my calendar I can leave all that unpacking from yesterday until tomorrow. This photo is of everyone busy making their cards.
This little box I made using a box I received for a swap at Convention. I used the Vintage Vogue stamp set and wheel and Kraft and Soft Suede card.
I just got the oval die for my Big Shot last week so designed this card using the 2 largest ovals. Also the stamp set A Rose is a Rose as I hadn't used it in awhile. It is one of the stamps that will be on special from Stampin' Up! in July. The colours I used are Always Artichoke and Rich Razzleberry.
This card is a remake of one that I did before. I love the 2 step bird punch. Also using the polka dot folder with the Big Shot. The stamp set Wonderful Favourites was another set I hadn't used in awhile.
Well that is all for today. I will show you the other cards another day. I hope you all have had a nice weekend whatever you may be doing.
