3 x 3 Lovenotes

I had my Stampin' Up! eScape day yesterday and we made 2 sets of lovenotes with handbag boxes to go with them. It was a fun afternoon. These are the 2 sets of cards we made.
The first set is made using the palette of prints designer papers and the hostess set For a Friend.

This second set I made using the Circle of Friendship stamp set and the designer paper Fall Flowers
I have been out visiting family today and gave one set to our niece who is leaving for England this week and one set to my mum who is travelling north to Exmouth for the winter.

Embroidered Cards

I thought I would surprise you this week and actually add some more cards. These are 2 cards I made some time ago. The patterns are from Form-a-lines fashion kit. Hope you enjoy seeing some cards other than stamped. Let me know if you want to see different techniques. Without feedback I dont know what you all like to see. Have a great week.

Slider Cards

Last week at my stamp clubs I taught how to make a slider card. It is a lovely card to make and here are a couple of the ones I made. The first one is using petal prints and Barely Banana and Bravo Burgundy. I used the leaf prints wheel for the main part of the card.

This card I have used the new Australian stamp set called Seaworthy. It is a great set. I used Brocade Blue and Ruby Red card stock. I still use the retired word set Warmest Regards a lot as I really like it.

Spirelli

Yesterday in my card making class, I taught Spirelli. I hadnt made any cards using this technique before so searched the net for finished cards and there werent very many at all. Anyway these are the cards I made and one of my students, Lyn allowed me to show a couple of hers as well.

This one is Lyn's pink and burgundy card and the one below is one I cased from her idea.
This one below is another of Lyn's cards. We used the cuttlebug and the nestability dies for the ovals and spirelli shapes.

Seaworthy

This is one of the cards we made last weekend. It is made with the new Australian Stampin Up set called Seaworthy, Party Punch and the retired background Cheesecloth. I used Not Quite Navy and Bordering Blue card stock. This was the one card that was a little hard to make by candle light as the pricking on dark card was very hard without much light.

Crane Family Fundraiser

It has been a week since I held the fundraiser for the Crane Family house at Lesmurdie Baptist Church and its taken me all week to finally get back to my blog. I want to thank everyone who came along and helped make the day such a success. The thunderstorm outside made it nice to be inside stamping and even the power going out for 3 hours didn't deter us. Luckily there were lots of candles so we stamped by candle light. Our hot lunch wasn't spoilt either as the gas stoves were in use. Thank you so much to my friends Sandra, Karen and Andrea F for organising the set up of the hall and catering. The food was delicious and the cafe setting was wonderful.
Here is the little picture I made of the Crane Family with the stamp set All in the Family.

We had some great raffles and altogether raised $835.80 to go towards the building of the house for the Crane's out in mozambique.
