This is one of the cards we will be making at the LBC fundraiser I am holding this weekend. I have almost totally cased this card from the US Stampin' Up! Idea book and catalogue. I forget to try out the cards in the idea book and when I do actually get around to doing it I am very pleased with the result. This card is made using the set Blossoms Abound and Polka Dots background. I have used Naturals Ivory card stock with Mellow Moss and Lavender Lace. The ribbon is Mellow Moss taffeta. The ink is Lavender Lace and Elegant Eggplant and the leaves are Always Artichoke and Mellow Moss. As I dont have the Pretties Kit I didn't add the bling that was in the IB&C

I've been Slack
I've been a slack blogger. 10 days have gone by so fast but I have been busy creating some new cards for the fundraiser on the 31st. I have been teaching my usual classes and I thought I would show another one of the colour block cards and also a card we made at the card day I went to on Saturday. This card below is just a sticker that I painted to match the colours in the card. I havent added a greeting yet but will do when I decide what to put on it.
This is a standing spring card that my friend Kaye taught us on Saturday. It was very easy to make.

Fundraising Stamping Day
I will be holding a fundraising stamping day on Saturday May 31st at the Lesmurdie Baptist Church. The funds are for The Crane family who are missionaries in Africa who need a home built for them. They have 5 children. LBC are hoping to raise enough for the house and have volunteers go out to help build it. I thought this would be a way for me to help out.
On the day we will be making 8 cards suitable for both beginners and experienced stampers. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided. There will be raffles and prizes on the day also. It will run from 9.30 am til 4.30 pm and will cost $40. If you would like to join in and help me to raise money for this project please book in by emailing me and I will send you more details. I need to have all bookings by Sunday 18th May as I will need to order the card stock. This is a Stampin' Up! day and the wonderful people at Stampin' Up! have donated some product for the raffles and prizes.

Peace Rose
I went out to my very neglected rose garden yesterday and found these Peace roses blooming so big and beautiful. Since the room has been in the building stage both Graham and I have totally neglected the garden. Its amazing how roses can still grow so well with neglect. Just thought I would show them to you. You know how much I love flowers. Have a great weekend.

The Family Room Set Up
Last night Graham and his nephew decided the room needed to be re-arranged to fit in the couches which were coming today so they did some moving of furniture. Today with the couches in place I think it looks great for the family room side of things. All my cupboards that were on this wall have been moved to the other side and as you can see Meeka thinks the couches are pretty good. Thanks to Lee-Anne and her mum for the couches. They suit the room well. Also they are comfy. I started to sort through my drawers today and have sorted all the little embellishments sort of things. I'm sure if I tackle a few boxes and drawers a day it will slowly get organised.
Forever Flowers Invitations
I did a workshop yesterday and demonstrated how easy it is to make simple invitations with this lovely wheel called Forever Flowers. The first one I coloured with River rock ink using a paintbrush and the second one I added a little colour with Purely pomegranite for the flowers. The wording is just made up for a sample.
