This weekend while keeping out of the heat I found a card on SCS by stamp-happy21 that I decided to case and change a little. I had fun making these cards and here are 2 of them. Thanks to Diane for the idea. I have added the butterfly from the set Merci as well. The colours I have used are Certainly Celery, Always Amethyst, Regal Rose and Naturals Ivory.

In Full Bloom
This is one of the cards I made while on holidays. I love this set as I really enjoy colouring. I have always wanted to make this card. I cased it from 2 cards on SCS. You can find one here
and one that my friend Nicki made. The idea is great but there is a fair bit of work in figuring it out. I used mellow moss, bashful blue and pretty in pink and of course black. The blue is stamped with canvas background. What do you think?

The Slab is Laid
For those that come to my place for stamp club you will know that I badly need more room in this house. After 6 months of talking about it and saving like crazy, the slab for the "Back Room" was laid yesterday. I'm so excited that I am finally going to have a family room and also somewhere for my stamping. I'll let the rest of the family think its a family room, when its actually somewhere for me to have classes and store all my craft stuff. Next week the frame and outer walls will go up and then we just finish it as we can afford to. Once the roof is on I can always set up my trestle tables on the concrete and enjoy the space.

Earth Elements and Petal Prints
Tonight I decided to use Stampin Up Earth Elements colours and got out my Petal Prints as I havent used it much lately. Also we were talking about the Linen background in Stamp Club today so I thought I would use that as well (not that you can see it much on this photo). I have used Summer Sun, Close to Cocoa with Garden Green. The butterfly is done in Cameo Coral and I used the flower from easy elegance for it and drew the body with the black stampin write marker. I also drew the Faux brads in with the black marker and highlighted with the white gel pen. You can sure tell the brads are faux as I notice a couple are bigger than the others. oh well they still look ok...

Some more Mixed Bouquet
While I was away I decided to case a card that I found on SCS made by Lavendula. You can find it here.
I really love this Mixed Bouquet set so made a few of this style of card trying out different colours. I used the Stampin Up colour coach to decide on the colours. I changed the greeting and sides to put the rose but had fun making these. I do love to paint so maybe that is why I loved doing these cards.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Featured Stampers challenge
Last night I was home alone so decided to do one of the SCS challenges. It was the featured stampers challenge in last weeks Inkling, and the card I decided to CASE is here . The stamper is Nancy Riley. After I had made the card I looked at the rest of the challenge cards and found that quite a few people cased this same card so it was a popular one. You just have to change something about the card so I changed the papers and also the stamp set but kept the layout. here is my card
I used the Petals and Paisley DP from SU and also Old Olive, Basic black and Whisper white. The stamp set is In Full Bloom and the greeting is from Its your Birthday. Inks used are regal Rose, Old Olive, Cool Carribean, So Saffron and Taken with Teal.
This is the first time I have done any of the challenges on SCS. It was fun and I plan to do some more.

Mixed Bouquet x 3
I cased the main piece of these 3 cards from a card on SCS. I then used Pretty In Pink, Basic Black and Regal Rose to complete the 3 cards. I used the bouquet roller to do the backgrounds. I just used scraps from each sheet to complete them. I embossed the rose and also the greeting. As I didnt take my embossing buddy with me the embossing of the greetings is a little flecky. I really do like this set so I hope they dont retire it when the new catalogue comes out in April.

A couple of Pics from our Holiday
We had a lovely holiday away in a unit overlooking the ocean at Rockingham. This was the sunset on our first night there.
These are the Little Penguins that we saw while over on Penguin Island. We went over on our own boat and went to see the penguins being fed. They are so cute. The holiday was very relaxing for me and I really enjoyed a walk on the beach each evening after it cooled off.
Sale- A- Bration
I am back from holidays now and thought I would show you a couple of cards I made while I was away, using one of the sale-a-bration sets.
Stampin' Up! have their Sale-a-bration on during January and February so anyone who puts in a $100 order will get one of 4 different stamp sets for free. If you would like to have a sale-a-bration catalogue please email me and I will send one to you. If you would like to put in an order please email me as well.
This set is Friendship Blooms and I have made 2 different cards for you to see. This card is made with Going Grey, and Basic Black card stock and stamped in black with colouring done with craft white using a blender pen.
For this card I have used Regal Rose and Whisper White card and stamped with Pretty in Pink, Black and Old Olive. The flowers are coloured using re-inkers and a paint brush. I have used Pretty In Pink. The flowers and leaves are cut out and I have joined the 2 flowers together with a Barely Banana brad and raised it on a dimensional. Let me know what you think.
