Computer Crash

You probably think I have given up on Blogging but I have had no computer for the past week as it crashed. I got it back today and now have all that time consuming job of putting back on programs etc. Anyway when I get everything back on I will post some new cards for you. Also the lovely birthday cards I was given for my birthday. I have also been busy making wedding invites for 2 weddings but hopefully they will be finished tomorrow. Have a great weekend.

Roses from My Garden

Tonight I went out to dead head my roses and decided to pick some of the fresh roses for inside. Here is the vase full that I picked. Aren't they lovely. I know you would much rather see cards that I have made, but I love flowers and taking pics with my new camera so thought I would show you my roses.

Goldfish

At Christmas time we bought an aquarium with some of the government economic stimulus package. It has taken awhile to get the tank ready for fish but it has finally settled to be right for more fish. I went out and bought some today. We already had 2 and I planned on getting 3 more. Of course when I got to the shop they had a special for 5 fish so I decided to get the 5 and then they offered me another fish free so I came home with 6 fish. Now we have 8 goldfish and 2 catfish. It is so relaxing watching the fish swim around.
I name my fish and Graham thinks its a bit silly (even though he named 2 of them) but I'm like that with pets. 5 have names so far and now I'm off to name the others.

Hope your day has gone well. Isn't this cooler weather really nice. Make the most of it as it sounds like there is going to be a hot week coming.

Parchment Card

Back of card
It has been quite awhile since I have made a card with Parchment or Vellum. I got this card shape idea from a friend on a card making group. One of my students would like to learn more of the parchment style card so I thought I would put it on this card. I redesigned a pattern I had to fit the 3 areas on the card. I think now that doing the 2 sides with the pattern is too much. What do you think?

Skye Growing Up

Skye is now nearly 9 months old. She had her first proper Haircut last week. She is looking so grown up here. They put a bow in her hair and she looked so soft and cuddly. Her legs are so long. She now only has black at the ends of her ears but I love her so much I dont mind anymore more that she isnt my black and white dog that I bought. Anyway since Dale and Nic bought me Finley I still have a black and white dog on my bed.

here is Skye asleep on my Bed with Finley
I take her for a walk most mornings now and she loves it running along and sniffing everything she can. She is such a great little friend and follows me around and sleeps lots in between. She has found her voice but only barks occasionally. Anyway just thought I would update you on Skye.

Sketch Challenge

While we were away in Manjimup, we tried out a couple of Sketch Challenges. They are a fun way to make cards. I plan on trying them out more often. The first card is made using SC191 from SCS which I have shown below. I made this card and loved it and then my sister in law chose it when looking at cards to buy from me, so I decided to make it again when I got home. I didnt get the painting done as nicely the second time but at least I re did it. I also made a second card and changed it around some.
I have used Elegant Eggplant and Sage Shadow with Black and Whisper White. The stamp sets are A Little Bit of Happiness and En Francais. I used the dragonfly from Infinite Goodness on the background
