Retiring Sets Card Day

Hi
Yesterday I held a stamping day at my place using retired stamp sets. I wanted to use them one last time before they are no longer available. It was hard to choose just enough stamps for 8 cards but I did and here are a couple of the cards I made for the ladies to make. This one below I made using the step card idea. My niece asked me to use Crab & co so this is what I came up with. It was a little too time consuming though and made the day go late but everyone loved it anyway. I also used Itty Bitty Backgrounds which I am really sad to see go.

This card I have used Aida Cloth for the background and Bodacious Bouquet . The ribbon is from District Ribbon originals and the buttons are soft subtles.
I have a few more cards to show you later. I don't have a photo program on my computer at the moment so I don't have me watermark but all the products are from Stampin' Up!

Bloom Away

Here is a wonderful new Australian stamp set that will be in the new Stampin Up catalogue. We were given a chance to purchase some sneak peak stamp sets so here are 3 cards I made using this set. I love it of course as I get to paint. I cant wait to actually see the new Catalogue myself and see what other wonderful sets we will have this year. In these cards I have used one of the 2009 In Colours, Red Riding Hood. Its a nice red for these stamps. I have also used Always artichoke and Kraft. You too can enjoy using these stamp sets very soon. I have a launch of the new Idea Book and Catalogue at my place on Saturday 4th April where you can get to see new sets and also make a card yourself to take home. I am hoping to have lots of new card samples to share with you. Let me know if you would like to come along. I am also holding a second session on Monday 6th at 7.30 pm. As soon as I can get some more samples made I will give you some more sneak peaks. I hope you are having a nice weekend.

New cards to show you..... at last

I hope I dont shock you by actually posting twice in one day but I thought I would show you these 2 cards I made last week. The one above is made using my new stamp set that I was given for my birthday. It is a Verve stamp set and it has some lovely stamps in it but I have used only the one. I cased this card from the verve site and changed the DP.
Below is a cased card using my friends SU set called Pocket silhouettes. I love this set and hope we get it in the new Catalogue. The colours I've used are white, Choc chip and Kraft.
Now I can go to bed feeling bettter about my blogging efforts. I blame the lack of posts on my poor memory.... well that is my excuse...
